Terms of Service

Last updated: October 8, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and GetDockPay LLC ("GetDockPay," "we," "us," or "our"), a Texas limited liability company. They govern your use of the GetDockPay website, sign-up forms, and the GetDockPay mobile app for iOS and Android (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What GetDockPay does

GetDockPay helps owner-operators and truck drivers document time spent at shipper and receiver facilities, calculate detention charges, and prepare and send detention invoices and supporting records to brokers, shippers, or other parties you choose. The Service also lets drivers rate brokers and facilities and shows aggregate scores built from those ratings and reported payment outcomes.

GetDockPay is a documentation and invoicing tool. We are not a party to any agreement between you and a broker, shipper, carrier, or receiver. We do not guarantee that any detention claim will be accepted or paid, we do not collect money on your behalf, and money owed to you is paid directly to you by the party you invoice, never through us. Nothing in the Service is legal, accounting, or business advice.

2. Who may use the Service

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.
  • You must provide accurate account information (name, email, phone number, and business details such as your MC or DOT number) and keep it current.
  • You are responsible for everything that happens under your account and for keeping your login credentials confidential. Tell us right away at info@getdockpay.com if you think your account has been used without permission.
  • One account per person. You may not share, sell, or transfer your account.

3. Plans, subscriptions, and billing

The Service offers a free plan and a paid GetDockPay Pro subscription. Current prices are shown in the app and in the App Store and Google Play listings. As of the date above, Pro is offered at $24.99 per month or $239.99 per year (USD, plus any applicable taxes).

Auto-renewal. Pro subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.

Where you are billed. Purchases are made through Apple's App Store or Google Play, which charge the payment method on your store account. We never see or store your full payment card details.

How to cancel. Manage or cancel in your store account: on iPhone, Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep Pro until then.

Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies, since they process the payment. We cannot issue refunds for store purchases directly.

Price changes. If we change the price of a subscription, the store will notify you in advance and, where required, ask you to agree before the new price applies.

Promotional and courtesy access. From time to time we may grant Pro access at no charge, for example to founding beta testers or to drivers who send product feedback through the app. Courtesy access is a gift, not a purchase: it is granted at our discretion, may be limited in time, is not transferable or redeemable for cash, and may be withdrawn if these Terms are broken. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the Service without any obligation to you beyond the courtesy access we choose to offer.

4. Your content and your responsibility for it

You own the information you enter into the Service, including stop records, load and broker details, invoices, notes, ratings, and documents you attach such as bills of lading, rate confirmations, gate receipts, and photos ("Your Content"). You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, display, and transmit Your Content only as needed to run the Service for you: for example, to build your invoice PDF, to send a claim to the recipient you choose, and to produce aggregate broker and facility scores that do not identify you.

You are solely responsible for Your Content and for every invoice or claim you send. You confirm that:

  • the times, rates, load details, and documents you submit are accurate and truthful to the best of your knowledge;
  • you have the right to share the documents you attach and to invoice the party you send them to;
  • ratings and comments you post about brokers and facilities are honest, based on your own experience, and free of threats, harassment, or personal information about individuals;
  • you will not use the Service to create false, inflated, duplicate, or fraudulent claims.

We may remove content or ratings that appear false, abusive, or unlawful, and we may suspend accounts that submit them.

5. Location, time records, and route tracking

With your permission the app uses your device's location to timestamp arrivals and departures and, where offered, to record the route of a trip. These records are only as accurate as your device's GPS and your own arrive/depart actions. You are responsible for checking a record before you send it as part of a claim. You can turn location access off at any time in your device settings; stop tracking and route features will not work without it. See our Privacy Policy for how location data is handled.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service to break any law, contract, or the rights of others;
  • send invoices, messages, or documents through the Service to anyone who has not done business with you or who has told you to stop;
  • access the Service by any means other than the app or website we provide, or scrape, copy, or resell any part of it, including broker and facility scores;
  • reverse engineer, interfere with, or overload the Service, or try to get around any limit or security measure;
  • upload malware or content that infringes someone else's rights;
  • impersonate another person or company.

7. Messages from us

By giving us your phone number or email you agree that we may text or email you about your account, your claims, sign-up and install instructions, and the Service itself. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out of texts, or use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. We will still send messages needed to run your account, such as login codes.

8. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, logos, text, and the aggregate scores and data we compile, belongs to GetDockPay and its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own trucking business, in line with these Terms and with the rules of the store you got it from. All other rights are reserved.

9. Third-party services and app stores

The Service relies on third parties, including Apple, Google, RevenueCat (subscription management), map and hosting providers, and email and text delivery providers. Their terms apply to your use of their services. If you got the app from Apple's App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms with the right to enforce them against you. Apple and Google are not responsible for the Service, its content, or support for it.

Google Maps. The GetDockPay app includes Google Maps features and content, such as a facility's Google rating in Broker & Dock Scores. Your use of Google Maps features and content is subject to the then-current versions of the Google Maps End User Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

10. Ending your account

You can stop using the Service at any time and can request deletion of your account and personal information from inside the app or by emailing info@getdockpay.com (see the Privacy Policy). Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription; cancel that in your store account as described above.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these Terms, if we reasonably believe your use is fraudulent or harmful to others, or if we discontinue the Service. If we terminate for a reason other than your breach, we will give reasonable notice where we can. Sections 4, 8, 11, 12, 13, and 14 survive termination.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, and any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that records, calculations, scores, or invoices will be accurate or accepted by any broker, shipper, or court. Detention rates, free-time allowances, and payment terms are set by your own agreements with the parties you work with, not by us.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, GetDockPay and its members, managers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost revenue, lost loads, lost data, or unpaid claims, arising out of or related to the Service, even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose or $100. Some states do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold harmless GetDockPay and its members, managers, and employees from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from Your Content, from invoices or claims you send using the Service, or from your breach of these Terms or of any law.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing, please email us at info@getdockpay.com; most problems can be fixed quickly. Each party waives any right to a jury trial to the extent permitted by law, and claims must be brought individually, not as part of a class action.

15. Changes to the Service or these Terms

We are a small, fast-moving product, and features may change, be added, or be removed. We may update these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date above shows the current version. For material changes we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

16. General

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor of our business.
