GetDockPay ("GetDockPay," "we," "us," or "our") helps owner-operators and truck drivers document and collect detention pay. This Privacy Policy applies to our website, our sign-up forms, and the GetDockPay mobile app for iOS and Android. It explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it is shared, and the choices you have.
Information we collect on our website and sign-up forms
When you sign up for GetDockPay — through a Facebook/Instagram sign-up form, our website, or by messaging us — we collect the information you choose to provide, which may include:
- Your name
- Your email address and/or phone number
- Details about your operation (e.g., whether you run your own authority, are leased on, or drive for a company; how often you experience detention; how many trucks you run)
- Any comments or feedback you send us
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Information we collect in the GetDockPay mobile app
The GetDockPay app collects the following information to provide its core service — documenting your time at shipper/receiver facilities and helping you invoice and collect detention pay:
- Account information. Your name, email address, phone number, and business details (such as company name and operating details) when you create an account.
- Location data (GPS). With your permission, the app uses your device's precise location to record when you arrive at and depart from a facility, so your dock time is documented with accurate, timestamped records. Location is collected while you are using the app to track a stop. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings, though detention tracking will not function without it.
- Photos and camera. With your permission, the app uses your camera and/or photo library so you can capture and attach documents — such as bills of lading (BOLs), rate confirmations, and gate receipts — as proof for your detention claims.
- Claim and load details. Information you enter about your stops, loads, brokers, facilities, wait times, and claims, including ratings you submit about brokers and facilities.
- Purchase information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, your purchase is processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat, a subscription-management provider, to validate and manage subscriptions. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
- Device and usage information. Basic device information (such as device type and operating system) and app diagnostics used to keep the app working correctly and to fix problems.
How the app uses and shares this information
- To create timestamped records of your dock time and generate detention invoices and supporting documentation.
- To send invoices and claim documents on your behalf. When you choose to send a claim, the invoice and the supporting details you attach (such as times, facility information, and documents) are shared with the broker or other recipient you designate. This sharing happens only at your direction.
- To power aggregate features such as broker and facility scores. Ratings and payment-outcome data are aggregated; we do not publish your personal identity with these scores.
- To manage your subscription (via RevenueCat and the app stores).
- To provide support and improve the app.
The app's data is stored on secure servers operated by our hosting and infrastructure providers, who process it only on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your precise location with advertisers or data brokers.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your account and claim records for as long as your account is active, since your claim history is the core of the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information at any time by emailing info@getdockpay.com; we will delete it within 30 days, except where we are required to retain records by law.
How we use your sign-up information

- To understand your needs, gather feedback, and improve the product
- To respond to your questions and provide support
- To send occasional updates about GetDockPay (you can opt out at any time)
How your information is stored and shared
We store sign-up information in secure, industry-standard business tools that help us run the early access program. We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate (for example, our form and database provider), and only as needed to operate it. We also use analytics and advertising tools (Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel) that set cookies to measure how visitors find and use our site and to improve our advertising. We may disclose information if required by law.
If you sign up through a Facebook or Instagram form, Meta Platforms, Inc. also processes your information in accordance with its own Data Policy.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time, or unsubscribe from communications, by emailing us at the address below. We will honor your request promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent version.
