Detention pay software for owner-operators, leased-on drivers and small fleets. Built in Austin, Texas.
GetDockPay LLC builds one product: a detention pay app that carries a claim from the dock to the broker. It stamps the stop with your phone's GPS, does the math from your free time and hourly rate, and, with Pro, reminds you to tap Arrived and Departed when you pull in and leave, keeps a timer on your free time while you wait, emails the broker an invoice with the timestamps, the map and links to your BOL photos and ELD log if attached, then sends the Second, Third and Fourth Notice on day 3, 7 and 14 until you mark the claim paid or denied. It also keeps score on brokers, from real claims, so you know who pays before you take the load (for the brokers you work with on Free; any rated broker with Pro).
ATRI put detention's cost to trucking at about $15 billion in 2023 ($11.5 billion in lost revenue and $3.6 billion in unreimbursed expenses), and found that only 55% of the detention invoices that go out get paid. The part that fails is rarely the waiting. It is everything after: the timestamps nobody wrote down, the notice nobody sent, the invoice that dies in a broker's inbox. GetDockPay is built for that part.
Feedback from drivers sets the roadmap. Inside the app, Profile → Send feedback sends the team the screen you are on and your words. On Android, specific, honest feedback can unlock Pro at no charge for a year, and it is never tied to a store rating. If a broker denies a claim for a reason the packet does not answer, we want to know that day.
